Team Concept

There are four key players in the team concept of planting churches.  Each player has a vital role in how the churches are built.  The following is a list to identify those key players and a brief description of how they can be involved in each church plant.

     1.  The Staying Team
- This teammate will not be able to go or give to the team in any material way.  However, they are the backbone of each church planted because they are praying for everything that is involved in every plant.  This teammate is the reason for the design of this website.  He or she will log on to this website and pray for the things that are going on in New York.

     2.  The Going Team - This teammate has sought God's will for their life and has decided that God can use them and their family in New York.  Each of these teammates are listed below with their pictures.

     3.  The Giving Team - This teammate will normally be a church body that cannot physically go but has been directed by the Lord with a burden for the people of NYC.  This teammate will give financially to the work of the ministry, and in so doing become an extremely important and vital part of our team.

     4.  The Growing Team - This teammate will take some time to come to NYC and assist us temporarily to help our church grow.  This teammate will help organize a children's program or youth outing by staying with us as an intern or possibly during a missions trip.

Ron and Susan Taylor have been on staff at Westwood Baptist Church in Poplar Bluff, Missouri for more than four years now serving as an assistant pastor over the youth.  They met and married in their home town of Poplar Bluff, Mo.  At the age of 13, Susan gave her heart to the Lord Jesus Christ at a summer youth camp.  Ron gave his heart to Christ at the age of 20, and a few years later surrendered to preach.  God led the couple to Baptist Bible College in Springfield, Mo.  During their time at BBC, they were on staff at High Street Baptist Church serving in the J.V. department and where Ron worked in ground maintenance.  Upon graduation the two were brought back to Westwood Baptist Church to work in the Youth Ministry under Dr. Steve Proctor.
Ron and Susan have been burdened for church planting since their freshman year at BBC and have now surrendered to plant churches in New York City.
